You will not feel motivated every time you train.
Out of ten sessions, maybe six or seven will feel really good. The other days you may be tired, have slept badly or simply not feel like it.
Those are often the days that teach you the most about habits.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO PERFORM AT YOUR BEST EVERY TIME
Showing up does not mean pushing yourself to the maximum. Some days the right session is a lighter one. Training can be adapted to how you feel.
But you came.
Every time you show up when staying home would have been easier, training becomes a little less dependent on motivation. It starts becoming something you simply do.
RESULTS MAKE IT EASIER TO CONTINUE
I do not expect my clients to be at their best every session. I expect us to work with the process over time. Two or three sessions a week, adapted to the person in front of me, add up to a lot of good training over a year.
Eventually you notice that you are stronger. Things that felt heavy become easier. Your capacity improves and you see that the work is giving something back.
Then motivation often changes too. Training that you once had to convince yourself to do has become part of your life.
That is the idea behind Stronger Habits.
SHOW UP.
